Gas Supply and Connection:

Ensuring there’s a suitable gas supply is crucial to the process, as it will make sure your boiler can run safely and with no issues. This will be done by the engineer who will check the existing pipework and prepare the connection of the boiler to the gas supply line.

Boiler Positioning:

The positioning of the new boiler will most probably be in the same place as the old one, unless you’d like it installed at a different location. However we’ll need to consider ventilation and accessibility so that future maintenance work can be carried out seamlessly.

Flue Installation:

The flue is like an exhaust pipe. It’s needed to safely carry out the burnt gas directly to the outside and has to be fitted to precise regulations. We make sure everything is sealed and compliant.

Water and Gas Pipework:

The engineer will connect to the existing water and gas pipework, with the only modifications to the pipework being under the boiler itself.

Boiler Mounting:

We’ll always mount your boiler in a suitable position, either securely in a cupboard, or safely to a wall, to ensure safety.

Electrical Connections:

If the boiler requires a new electrical connection, the engineer will ensure a safe and compliant installation, connecting the boiler to the electrical supply.

Testing and Commissioning:

After we’ve mounted the boiler and got it up and running, we’ll conduct a series of full checks. We don’t want any gas or water leaks. After making sure the system is safe and secure, we’ll proceed to optimise and commission the system for performance. Voila – your system is now up and running.

User Instruction:

We’ll always leave you with an official instruction manual on how to operate your system. This will provide you with all the information you need to adjust settings, as well as give you an understanding of the boiler’s safety features.

Building Compliance Certificates:

How long will the installation process take?

If you have a simple combination boiler swap it should take a day however testing and commissioning might need to be carried out the following day to make sure the system has had time to settle in. If you have a larger system boiler the process can take up to 3 days.

How long is the boiler warranty?

As an approved installer we can provide up to 10 years warranty on certain boiler models. The manufacturer’s warranty will cover breakdowns and any parts needed, providing it has been maintained well.

Do you remove and dispose of my old boiler?

Yes, we will remove and dispose of all pipework and the old boiler. We are joined with a local eco friendly recycling centre. All of our boilers are disposed of in an eco friendly way.

What paperwork do i need after a new boiler has been installed?

You will receive a gas safety certificate and a building regulation certificate which is required after a new boiler has been commissioned.

Are you gas safe registered?

Yes, we have been registered with the Gas Safe Register since 2014 and have been trusted by thousands of customers to carry out their gas works.

How should I prepare before the installation day?

There isn’t much for you to worry about before the installation of your new boiler. We just ask that the surrounding area is free from clutter, so our engineer has a good amount of space to do the work.
