What is a Gas Safety Certificate?
A Gas Safety Certificate (also known as a CP12 certificate) certifies your gas installation to ensure the appliances are safe to use. Appliances such as boilers, cookers, and gas fires need to be routinely tested by a Gas Safe registered engineer. The certificate confirms that the appliances are safe to use and meet the legal requirements for gas safety.
What is Inspected During a Gas Safety Certificate
When you book a gas safety certificate with us our experienced engineers will:
- Visual Inspection Of All Gas Appliances: We will visually examine all of your gas appliances to ensure they are working properly and safely.
- Check for Leaks: We will check all gas connections and pipework to source any leaks, ensuring no gas or carbon monoxide is being released into the room.
- Test the Pressure: Our engineers will check the gas pressures to ensure your appliances are functioning efficiently and to ensure the supplier is providing the required gas pressures.
- Ventilation and Flues: We will make sure your appliances have the correct ventilation and that the flue system is working correctly to release the products of combustion outside of the property.
- Testing Alarms: We will test your fire and carbon monoxide alarms to make sure they are in good working order and can provide an early warning to occupants.
